I am Milena, the individual behind Magic and Clarity. I am originally from Croatia, and I currently reside in the United Kingdom.

How the name Magic and Clarity came to be

Magic is the art of creating change within, and it is the oldest personal development modality on the planet.

Clarity is the way to grow, as, without clarity, we are running in circles.

My struggle

My road to self-improvement and self-growth started a long time ago during a war in my country.

Through and after the war, I had a tough time being a Serb in Croatia, where I was born, while Serbia and Croatia were at war. The time of war was very challenging.

As someone very sensitive, I struggled to cope with a world that felt chaotic and filled with bitterness and hatred, resulting in feelings of discomfort and a flood of negative emotions.

During that time, I lost my mother, taking all my support with her. My father passed away before I was even two years old. I have an older sister and her daughter, who are still living in Croatia.

Having faced so much at just 22 years old, I turned to personal growth, realizing that the only person I can truly change is myself. Despite the immense pain and struggles I faced, that period was also one of significant learning and growth.

If you are fed up with those telling you they would not change their difficult past, sorry, this is one of those moments. I would not be who I am today without that past.

Fun facts about me that I usually do not share with others

My bedroom was full of stickers (butterflies, hearts, and similar) when I was living in Ireland, which lit up in the dark. I enjoyed them even though I am over 50.

I am obsessed with colourful scarves and shawls.

I love clouds and could spend a lot of time exploring them.

I was an interpreter for the UN after the war, living in Bosnia.

I used to make crafts that I sold while living in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

I enjoyed the time of home rest called Corona, as I had no time to explore before. This is when I made some decisions that changed my life.

I love being in my own company.

My accomplishments

I don’t want to overwhelm you with grand success tales. My most meaningful achievements lie within.

I always aspired to become the best possible version of myself and devoted myself to personal growth.

For more than 20 years, I have been meditating and learning about personal growth from remarkable teachers, both online and offline.

My journey was filled with numerous obstacles, at times overwhelming, but it never caused me to “lose my soul” or integrity.

I focused on cultivating inner peace and joy for years, all while experiencing life, taking jobs, and relocating (I have lived in five different countries).

I never lost my wonder for life.

Despite having surpassed 50, I do not feel the weight of my age due to societal expectations. I believe this is the most fulfilling time of my life.

The time during Corona brought me tremendous insights, tranquility, satisfaction, and profound joy, which I am trying to keep in my day-to-day life today.
